As a child, my Grandma was one of my best friends.
Day 90 of the #100daysofwonder2024
I spent soooo many hours this kitchen. As a child, I had many sleepovers at my Grandma's and spent many hours cooking, baking, laughing, and learning in her home.
She had a beautiful big farmer's sink that overlooked a wooded area. On the second floor, it seemed to be in the treetops.
Her kitchen felt huge to me with a big butcher block center island and pretty utensils hanging on the walls. The copper strawberry shaped jelly mold was my favorite. I was also always fascinated by the little frog that kept the scrubbie.
Nearly every time you walked into that beautiful, bright room, the smell of chicken cooked with rosemary would waft over to you and envelop you like a warm hug from an old friend. She was limited as to what she could eat, so rosemary chicken was almost always on the menu. I certainly never minded, as it was, and still is, one of my favorites.
I miss my Grandma, and her kitchen.
The prompt for today was "rosemary."
